Lessons and the tutor

Subjects, chapters, topics and lessons for the child's class, board and medium.

  • Interactive visual lessons Introduction, explanation, a visual demonstration, questions, feedback and a summary, resumable at any step. Fractions, clocks, number lines, ₹ coins and notes, place value, shapes, angles, bar charts, and diagrams such as the water cycle, the solar system and the human body.

  1. Install it when it is out

    Kiyo Study is coming to Google Play and the App Store. The buttons on this page will take you there when it is published.

  2. Make a profile for your child

    A first name or nickname, an avatar, the class, the board, Tamil or English medium, the subjects and how many minutes a day. Nothing else is asked.

  3. Follow today's plan

    The home screen shows what to do today: a lesson to continue, revision that is due, homework and a daily challenge.

  4. See how it is going

    Open the parent area after the parent check to see progress, set homework and review written answers.

What it is, and what it is not yet

A learning app for children has to be honest with their parents. This is where Kiyo Study stands today.

The tutor today is offline

The tutor in the app answers from the lessons' own notes and exact arithmetic, without the internet. A live AI tutor that answers anything, and photo doubt solving, are planned. They will need Kiyosoft's cloud, and they are not available yet.

Sample lessons, not the whole syllabus

The built-in lessons are written along the TN State Board and CBSE syllabi, with checked answers, but they do not cover every chapter and have not been matched page by page to the official textbooks. Some Tamil text is still to come.

Learning data stays on the device

No account, no cloud copy, no ads and no tracking. Moving to a new phone uses a backup file. A Kiyo account with a cloud copy may come later, as an option a parent turns on.

The parent check is a child lock

A sum written in words, or a PIN, keeps young children out of the parent area. It is not account security: anyone holding the unlocked device can reach the data on it.

Where can I install it?

Kiyo Study for Android and iPhone is being prepared for release. Links to Google Play and the App Store will appear on this page when it is published.

Is the AI tutor live?

Not yet. The tutor in the app today is an offline guided tutor: it explains, gives another example, a hint or more practice from each lesson's own notes, and every answer says where it came from. A live AI tutor and photo doubt solving are planned; they will need Kiyosoft's cloud and will be clearly marked when they arrive.

Does it cover my child's whole syllabus?

No. The built-in lessons are sample coverage from Pre-KG to Class 12, written along the TN State Board and CBSE syllabi, plus Olympiad reasoning. They are not a complete or official syllabus, so use them alongside the school's textbooks. Parents and teachers can add or correct lessons in the content workspace.

Does it need the internet?

No. Lessons, games, homework, tests, the guided tutor, progress and backups all work offline. Read-aloud and speaking a doubt use the phone's own voice and speech services, which may depend on what the phone has installed.

What does it ask about my child?

A first name or nickname, an avatar, the class, board, medium, subjects and study times. It does not ask for a surname, a phone number, an email address or the school's name. All of it stays on the device.

Are there ads?

No. There are no ads and no tracking in Kiyo Study.

How many children can use it?

The free version has up to 2 child profiles on a device, each with its own class, medium and progress. A Family plan for up to 5 children is planned.

How do I move to a new phone?

In Settings, save a backup file and keep it somewhere safe, then restore it on the new phone. There is no cloud copy, so without a backup the data stays on the old phone.
