How to start

Your first order in five minutes

No computer needed. Everything happens on the phone or tablet you already use.

  1. Install it

    Install Kiyo Food on your Android phone or tablet, tell it your shop's name and the kind of food business you run. There is no account to create.

  2. Add a product and its recipe

    Add what you sell in its sizes and boxes, then its recipe with the ingredients and their prices; the app works out the cost and your margin.

  3. Take the first order

    Choose the customer, add the products, the pickup or delivery time and the message on the cake, take the advance and share the slip.

  4. Add Pro when you need it

    Subscribe to Pro inside the app, through Google Play or the App Store, for ₹499 a month or ₹4,999 a year. New subscribers get the first 7 days free.
Your data and your plan

Your recipes stay on your phone. Your plan stays with your store account.

Kiyo Food has no Kiyosoft server and no account. Pro is a Google Play or App Store subscription, and backups are encrypted with a key that only your phone and your own Google or Apple account hold. Your customers, orders and recipes never reach us.

Your recipes stay on your phone

Customers, orders, products, recipes, stock and photos are kept in the app on your phone. Kiyo Food has no server holding them.

Kiyosoft never sees your recipes or your customers.

New phone?

Restore your backup on the new phone. The key that opens it comes back from your Google or Apple account, or you type in the recovery code, and Pro comes back with it.

Keep the recovery code somewhere safe: without the key, a backup cannot be opened.

If you cancel Pro

Cancel at any time in Google Play or the App Store. Pro lasts to the end of the period you paid for, then the extras pause and the app goes back to Free. You keep everything you entered, and subscribing again brings them back.

Is the free version really free?

Yes, for as long as you like. Customers, up to 50 open orders at a time, products with sizes and prices, recipes with costing, and baking with finished stock, in English and Tamil. Pro adds the extras on this page.

Where is my data kept?

Only on your phone. Kiyo Food has no server holding your customers, orders or recipes, so we could not see them if we wanted to. Backups, photos and voice notes included, are encrypted with your own key; copy one off the phone now and then.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no Kiyosoft account to create. Kiyo Food makes a key for your shop on your phone and saves it to your own Google account or iCloud Keychain; your backups are encrypted with it, and your Pro subscription is kept under an anonymous ID worked out from it. Write down the recovery code the app shows you, in case the key does not come back by itself on a new phone.

How does it work out what a cake costs?

From the recipe and your ingredient prices. Enter each ingredient's price per kg, per litre or per pack, and the recipe's ingredients and how many pieces a batch makes. The app works out the cost per piece, box or kg, adds the packaging of each size, and shows the margin on its price. When you change a price, the costs follow.

Can I write a recipe in cups?

Yes. Cups and spoons convert to ml and litres, and grams to kg. Weight and volume do not convert into each other, because a cup of flour and a cup of sugar weigh different amounts, so write an ingredient in the kind of unit you buy it in.

Is it only for cakes?

No. When you set it up, choose a home bakery, a cake studio, cookies and brownies, sweets and snacks, chocolates and desserts, or another food business, and the lists of categories follow it.

Is there an iPhone or iPad version?

Kiyo Food is made for Android phones and tablets first, through Google Play. The App Store version for iPhone and iPad is on its way, and this page will link to each store when the app is there.

Does it send WhatsApp messages by itself?

No. Kiyo Food opens WhatsApp or the share sheet with the message, bill or picture filled in, and you press send. Nothing goes out without you.

Does it need the internet?

No. Orders, recipes, baking and bills all work offline. The app goes online only when you share something, and to check your Pro subscription with Google Play or the App Store.

How do I pay?

Inside the app, through Google Play on Android or the App Store on an iPhone, with the payment methods your store account offers. Pro is ₹499 a month or ₹4,999 a year, GST included, and the store sends the receipt.

What does Pro add?

Everything marked Pro on this page: unlimited orders, WhatsApp reminders and the due-date calendar, bills and receipts with a UPI QR, GST invoices and quotations, ingredients, packaging and suppliers, the menu card and posts, reports and PDF exports, and your brand only on what you share.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The free version is yours for as long as you like, and new subscribers to Pro get the first 7 days free. Cancel in Google Play or the App Store before the 7 days end and you are not charged.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Pro renews each month or year until you cancel it in Google Play or the App Store. It then lasts to the end of the period you paid for, and the app goes back to Free. You keep everything you entered, and subscribing again brings the extras back.

Can I get a refund?

Pro is paid to Google Play or Apple, so refunds go through them, under their refund policies. See Refunds in the small print for how to ask.
