Terms, refunds, privacy and support

The app

Kiyo Editor is a video, photo and audio editor made by Kiyosoft. No editing account is required. Projects and imported media are stored locally; the app does not provide an automatic cloud copy of them.

Free includes the editing tools, with up to 5 video exports each calendar month and a small “Made with Kiyo Editor” mark. Pro removes that monthly video export allowance and mark. Existing projects remain editable when the allowance is reached.

Subscriptions

Where available, Pro is bought through Google Play or the App Store. The store shows the current price, subscription period and any trial before purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled through that store. Cancel before a trial ends to avoid its first charge. After cancellation, Pro remains available until the paid period ends, then Free applies. Use Restore purchases with the same store account if needed. Store availability and offers can differ by region and build.

Your work and your backups

You keep ownership of the media and work you bring to the app. You are responsible for having permission to use music, video, images, fonts, logos and recordings, including consent where needed from people you record. Templates and editing tools do not grant rights to third-party material you add.

Keep project backups and finished exports outside the app, especially before uninstalling, clearing app data or changing phones. There is no editing-account cloud copy from which we can restore lost projects.

Device capabilities

Export resolutions, codecs, frame rates and processing speed depend on your device, operating system, storage and source media. 4K and HEVC are offered only when supported by the native pipeline. File-size and quality estimates are estimates. HDR output is not promised. Long exports may be interrupted, particularly under iOS background execution limits; keep the app open where possible and use recovery or retry after an interruption.

We work to make the app reliable, but cannot promise that processing is free of errors or interruptions. Check exported files before relying on them or deleting the originals. These terms do not remove rights that applicable consumer law gives you.

Purchases are handled by the store shown at checkout. Request a refund under that store's applicable policy:

• Google Play: follow Google Play refund steps.
• App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Manage or cancel renewal in Google Play subscriptions or App Store subscriptions. Cancelling renewal does not itself refund an earlier payment. The store decides refund eligibility.

For a problem with the app, write to support@kiyosoft.com with the app version and device model. Do not send payment card details.

Your media stays local

Projects, imported video, photos, recordings, thumbnails, editing settings, brand assets and export history are stored on your device. Noise reduction and voice processing run on the device. The app does not upload these files to a Kiyosoft editing server or cloud AI service. There is no Kiyo Editor sign-up or automatic Kiyosoft cloud sync for projects.

The app's storage is protected by the operating system; the app does not add its own end-to-end encryption. Use your device lock. Device backups and files you save to cloud folders are subject to the provider and settings you choose.

Permissions and sharing

The app uses access to media you select, the microphone when you record, and storage or gallery access when needed to save files. Deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Sharing, exporting a backup, opening a website or sending email passes the selected information to the destination you choose; its privacy policy applies. A project backup may include source media and your brand details, so share it with care.

Purchases

In store-enabled builds, Google Play or Apple handles payment. RevenueCat is used to check and restore subscription entitlements with an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase information. Those services may receive identifiers, device and diagnostic information needed to operate billing; their policies apply. The editor does not send project media to the billing service. We do not receive your payment card details. Billing checks require internet; the editor itself does not need a cloud processing server.

Support and websites

If you email support@kiyosoft.com, we receive your email address and what you choose to send. Send a sample clip or screenshot only if you are comfortable sharing it. Opening kiyosoft.com makes a normal website request to its hosting service; opening a legal page is separate from local media processing.

Removal and questions

Delete projects and media in the app, including Recently deleted when you want immediate permanent removal. Deleting a project may leave shared library media used elsewhere. Library & storage provides file and clean-up controls. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the app's local data, subject to your operating system's backup and restore behavior. Exports saved to your gallery, files, backups and shared destinations remain until you remove them there.

Kiyo Editor has no editing account to delete. Use Library & storage and Recently deleted to manage local projects and files, or clear app data through your operating system. Save a backup first if you want to keep your work. Separately remove exported files, device backups and copies you shared. Uninstalling does not cancel a store subscription: cancel it through the store.

Email support@kiyosoft.com for help, feedback or privacy requests. Include your device model, operating system, app version, what you tried and any error message. For export issues, include the source format and export settings if known. Keep private media out of the message unless you choose to share a sample.
