Terms
The app
Kiyo Build is an app for building contractors, interior designers, modular kitchen and wardrobe firms, civil engineers and carpenters: drawing floor plans, estimating and quoting the work, keeping track of projects and sites, clients, materials, bills and payments. The free version has every feature and can be used for as long as you like, with 1 active project at a time and 3 floor plans in all. Handed-over and cancelled projects do not count towards the limit, and deleting a floor plan frees its place. There is no Kiyosoft account: you do not sign up or sign in to use it.
Pro
Pro takes away the free version's limits and the "Prepared with Kiyo Build" line on the quotations, bills and slips you share. It is a subscription sold inside the app through Google Play or the App Store, at the price the store shows before you subscribe: ₹499 a month or ₹4,999 a year in India, GST included.
New subscribers get the first 7 days free; cancel before they end and you are not charged. After that the subscription renews by itself at the end of each month or year until you cancel it, which you can do at any time in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions. When it ends, the app goes back to the free version, with its limits. Nothing you entered is lost or locked away: you can still open, change, share, back up and export all of it, and only starting another project or floor plan past the free limits waits.
Buying Pro is also subject to the terms of Google Play or the App Store, whichever you bought it through.
Your data
Everything you enter is kept on your phone and belongs to you. Because we never receive it, we cannot recover it for you: keep a backup, and keep your recovery code safe. A backup is encrypted, and without your shop key or its recovery code nobody, including us, can open it. You are responsible for having your clients' permission to keep their details and to contact them, and for having the right to use a drawing, photo or CAD file you did not make yourself.
Plans, drawings and building rules
Kiyo Build is not a structural design tool. It does not design foundations, columns, beams, slabs or steel, and its plans and 3D views are not structural drawings: that needs a licensed engineer. Plans, areas and sizes are only as right as the lengths you enter, so check them at the site. The approval drawings the app makes are a starting point: before they are submitted, a licensed engineer or architect must check and sign them, and check them against the rules of your local body.
The setbacks and FSI the app shows, and the plans Design it for me offers, follow the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019, as amended, for ordinary plots, as we read them. They do not cover special areas such as heritage, coastal, hill or airport zones, nor other states' rules, and rules change: confirm what applies with your local body. Vastu zones and notes are given as advice.
Estimates, quantities and costs
Estimates, BOQ quantities, materials, cut lists and tile counts are worked out from the drawing, the rates you enter and the usual thumb rules, mixes and wastage, and are approximate. The rates the app starts with are typical Tamil Nadu figures for 2026, not quotes from anyone; change them to yours. Check quantities at the site before you buy or cut, and check the price before you quote it. Profit and actual-cost figures are only as right as the payments, expenses and attendance you enter.
Tax figures
Kiyo Build works out GST from the rates you enter and does not check them against the tax rules. Check your returns with your accountant; the app is not tax advice.
What we do not promise
We work hard to keep the app right and available, but we cannot promise it is free of mistakes, and our liability is limited to what you paid for Pro in the last twelve months.
Refunds
Pro is paid to Google Play or Apple, so refunds go through them, under their refund policies. We never see your payment details and cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
- Google Play: follow Google Play's refund steps: find the Pro purchase in your order history and ask for a refund there.
- App Store: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, choose the Pro purchase and ask for a refund.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not by itself refund the period already paid for. Cancel during the 7-day free trial and nothing is charged. Manage or cancel Pro in Google Play subscriptions or App Store subscriptions.
If something in Pro does not work as we said it would, write to support@kiyosoft.com too: we would rather put it right.
Privacy
What stays on your phone
Your clients, projects, floor plans and their versions, estimates, interior designs, site diaries, workers and attendance, materials, suppliers, photos, voice notes, quotations, bills, payments and everything else you enter are kept only on your phone. Kiyosoft has no server that receives any of it, there is no Kiyosoft account, and the app has no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind. Design it for me, the 3D view, estimates and every drawing are worked out on the phone. The only details that leave the phone are your business's contact details, described under "Your business's contact details" below, and the purchase record described under "Buying Pro". While you speak to the app, what you say goes to your phone's own speech service, described under "Microphone, voice assistant and voice notes" below. The app does not encrypt its own data on the phone, so use the phone's screen lock and the app lock.
- Location. The app does not ask for or use your location. Site addresses are what you type.
- Contacts. When you choose a client or supplier from your phone's contacts, only that one contact's details (the name, phone number, email, address and, for a supplier, the company) are copied into the app. When you save a client or supplier to your phone, the app first looks in your contacts, on the phone, for the same number or email so as not to add it twice, then adds that one contact. The app never copies or uploads your address book.
- Camera, photos and files. Photos you take with the phone's camera or choose from the gallery, for projects (site photos and photos of the finished work), the site diary, clients, materials, expenses and your logo, and pictures you trace a plan over, are made smaller on the phone, which also drops the location the camera may have stored in them, and kept in the app on the phone. A CAD (DXF) file you choose to trace is read on the phone. No photo, drawing or file is sent anywhere unless you share it yourself.
- WhatsApp and sharing. Reminders, quotations, bills, plans, estimates, cut lists and reports open in WhatsApp or the share sheet with the message or file filled in, for you to send yourself. The app never posts anything by itself, and never reads your messages.
- Reminders. Reminders for handovers, appointments, tasks, low stock, use-by dates, invoices due and backups are scheduled on the phone. There are no push notifications from us. On Android, the Today widget shows the handovers due from the app's records, on the phone.
- Calendar. "Add to phone calendar" opens your phone's calendar app with a project's handover or an appointment filled in, for you to save. The app never reads your calendar. On iPhones older than iOS 17, iOS asks once whether the app may use the calendar.
- Microphone, voice assistant and voice notes. The app asks for the microphone the first time you tap one of its mic buttons, and listens only while the mic is on. When you speak instead of typing, or to the voice assistant, your phone's own speech service (Google's on Android, Apple's on iPhone) turns what you say into text, and may send the sound to Google or Apple to do it, under their own privacy terms. The app receives only the text and uses it on the phone; it does not keep that sound, and never sends the sound or the text to us. A voice note you record on a project is kept as a sound file in the app on the phone, and in your encrypted backups, until you delete it. It is never sent to us, and goes elsewhere only when you share it yourself. Answers read aloud use the phone's own voice, on the phone.
- App lock. Your PIN is stored only as a salted check value, never as the PIN itself. Fingerprint and face unlock are handled by the phone; the app never sees them.
- Backups. Backups, plans, photos and voice notes included, are encrypted on the phone with your shop key before they are saved. A backup you copy or share goes only where you send it, and cannot be opened without the key. If Android's own backup is on, Google may keep a copy of the app's newest automatic backup, still encrypted, and its settings in your Google account under Google's terms.
Your shop key and recovery code
The first time it opens, the app makes a random key for your business on the phone, and encrypts your backups with it. The phone saves the key to your own Google account (Google's Block Store) or to iCloud Keychain, so that it comes back by itself on a new phone signed in to the same account; Google and Apple keep it under their own terms, and we never receive it. The app also shows the key as a recovery code for you to write down. Anyone with the recovery code can open your backups, so keep it private.
Buying Pro
Pro is bought through Google Play or the App Store, which take the payment under their own privacy policies; we never see your card, UPI or bank details.
We use RevenueCat, a subscription service, to check whether a business has Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID worked out from your shop key (it cannot be turned back into the key or used to open a backup), the purchase as the store reports it (the product, price, dates, trial and renewal status, and the store's transaction numbers), and the app version, the phone's operating system and the store's country, as RevenueCat's software sends them. It never receives your clients, projects, plans or anything else you enter, other than your business's contact details described below. RevenueCat processes this for us under its privacy policy.
Your business's contact details
When you set up the app, and whenever you change your business's details later, the app keeps these with your purchase record at RevenueCat, so that Kiyosoft can send you updates and offers: your business's name, phone number and email address, the city, state, PIN code and country of its address, the kind of business, and the app's language. Your street address, and everything else you enter (clients, projects, plans, money and the rest), is never sent.
Kiyosoft reads these details in RevenueCat's dashboard and may use them to contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp about Kiyo Build, for example about features and offers for businesses that have used the free plan for a while. We do not sell them.
You can turn this off at any time in the app: More, then Privacy & data, then Share my business details with Kiyosoft. The app then asks RevenueCat to remove them. You can also ask us to delete them: see deleting your data.
What reaches us
Your business's contact details described above, unless you turn that off, and anything you write to us. As the seller, we can see the purchase records Google, Apple and RevenueCat show to developers, such as order numbers, dates and amounts, but not your clients, projects or plans. If you email us, we keep the message and your contact details to answer you.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Messages you send us, for as long as we need them to answer you. Purchase records, for as long as Indian tax law requires and the stores' and RevenueCat's own policies provide; see deleting your data to have RevenueCat's record removed.
Your rights
Ask support@kiyosoft.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Your business's records are yours to export or erase in the app at any time. Kiyo Build is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.
If we change this policy, we will update this page first.
Deleting your account and data
There is no Kiyosoft account
Kiyo Build has no Kiyosoft account, so there is no account to delete, and nothing you enter in the app is held by us, except the business's contact details described under Privacy, which you can turn off in the app (More, then Privacy & data) or ask us to delete.
Your business's records
They are only on your phone, so only you can delete them. In the app, open More, then Data & storage, then Erase all data, or uninstall the app. Backups, plans, PDFs, CAD files and other files you copied or shared stay where you put them until you delete them. Without your shop key and its recovery code, a backup left anywhere cannot be opened by anyone.
Your subscription and purchase records
- Cancel Pro first, in Google Play subscriptions or App Store subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
- Google and Apple keep their own purchase records under their own policies.
- To have the purchase record RevenueCat keeps for us deleted, write to support@kiyosoft.com, with the subject "Delete my Kiyo Build purchase data". Include the order number from the store's receipt, and the phone number or email you gave the app, so that we can find it. We reply within seven days and delete it within thirty days of finding it. If the subscription is still active, the app may record it again the next time it checks with the store.
Support
Write to support@kiyosoft.com. Tell us what you were doing and what you expected; for a plan, a screenshot or the PDF helps. A person reads every message, in English or Tamil, on working days.
The Help screen in the app also answers the common questions, and each screen has its own guide. For a payment or a refund, see Refunds.
